Happy Halloween!

Molly dressed up as a kitty cat. The General was NOT amused.

The Colors of Fall

Zoo Trip

We went to the zoo and saw big cats. Ones with all four legs.

Froggy

Nothing relaxes Molly more than wrapping up in her frog towel after a trip to the spa.

Molly Rules

After one month, a new power structure has emerged. Molly now clearly controls the house and its occupants.

The animals I knew would have to deal with a change in the pecking order, but I never thought it could happen to me, or that I wouldn't mind.

Listening Mothers

Molly and I went to our first meeting of Listening Mothers on Thursday. It was great. It's facilitated by a counselor who specializes in parent/child relationships. Very low-key group of 6 moms and their babies talking about the great stuff and the challenging things. There's an actual name for the fact that I really don't care about anything but Molly right now! "Primary maternal preoccupation". Love it.

I hate baths!

We celebrated Molly's 4 week birthday with a bath. She was not pleased. Even with the pretty outfit we dressed her in.

Hanging Out With Gen

General likes the squeaky toys on the playmat, too.

Growing Baby

I can't believe how quickly she's growing! She's starting to use her legs to launch off during mealtime. Of course I knew how strong she was after being kicked for a few months. We'll enroll her at Seattle Kung-Fu Club as soon as she's old enough.

Happy 3 Weeks!

Happy 3 week birthday to our beautiful Molly! These have been the most amazing weeks of my life. We're so glad you're here!

Here are more photos of Molly's first weeks at home.

Waking Hours

We're trying to encourage more activity during the day (and less at night!). Molly's pretty good at it but I still mostly want to nap.

Activity Mat

We tried out the little activity mat we got from our neighbors. Molly seemed intrigued for a bit, especially with the musical seahorse. Then, it was time to recharge the batteries.

Ah, sleep

Molly and I got some shut-eye today. We both needed it...

Papa Steve

The Second 9 Months

Wow. She's amazing. A lactation consultant who actually listened to our situation. She spent the first half hour of the consultation just talking to me about my medical history etc. Now we have a plan of action! Check out Renee's Web site.
