Yay Santa!

YEE HA! SANTA ROCKS!

Merry Christmas!

After a full day of meltdown (Christmas Eve day), Molly was able to re-group and enjoy Christmas. Santa and his elves (friends and family) treated her quite well, de-bunking the old "you'd better not cry" myth. She cried plenty and still got some wonderful gifts. Here she is in her Christmas dress.

Santa Baby

"an' I want..."

So the 2nd best part of getting this picture taken was the fact that it was at our local pub. Maybe Santa will bring Guinness this year.

Jolly Holiday

We are currently preparing for our first full-sized Christmas tree! We have only enough ornaments for a small tree, however. This will probably prove useful as it will provide fewer cat temptations.

Speaking of cats, Molly made her first attempt at petting a cat the other day. Edmund is bound and determined to have someone love him (difficult when he really acts like a jerk much of the time lately) so when Molly whapped him with one of her flailing arms, he stayed the course and just rubbed his head against her little hand. Yay, Zoo Baby!

Contemplating the Elephant

Molly is becoming more interested in toys. I'm sure the excitement will wear off when she's old enough to ask for the XBox 2010 but it's pretty cool right now. Here she is intrigued by the blue elephant.

Wrap Baby

Because you can never have too many wraps. Here is the latest in my quest for the perfect baby carrier. This seems to be about as good as it gets. It's beautiful and handmade in Guatemala plus it works like a charm. I took Molly Christmas shopping at REI and she made it through completely safe and snug (she was facing in). She definitely feels more secure when we are out and about if I'm carrying her. When she's in the stroller, she'll often give me that "what the HELL are we DOING?!" look.
